The Danger of Being Impatient

The Danger of Being Impatient

Hi, this is Dr. Nemechek of The Nemechek Protocol™, in Buckeye Arizona. I want to talk to you today about the dangers of
being impatient. There is a increasing number of reports,
both what I see in my practice and from a variety of administrators in
different support groups out there, that we communicate with, about parents
pushing up doses to very dangerous, doses of fish oil and olive oil and inulin,
to potentially dangerous levels in their kid. And they’re doing this very quickly
and it’s mainly because they’re impatient, alright? We have doses in the
book that are specific limits for safety alright? We all know and have heard of
people, you can be injured if you drink too much water, it can trigger a seizure
right? So, simple things can cause damage in people. Oxygen – if you have too high
of a concentration of oxygen it’s very toxic to the body, and potentially the
same thing goes for fish oil and olive oil, and that’s why you don’t exceed the
limits we put in the book alright. Now some parents will say, well when I
did in two more weeks something happens. So here’s what’s going on. Your child is
improving okay, over time, but maybe not enough and you aren’t seeing speech or
something that’s really bothering you, and you you push up the dose even
higher beyond what we say, and then PRESTO in like a week or two
something’s improved. Well really the odds are much greater that it was going
to happen in two weeks anyhow, if you had just waited. Alright? You have to
understand just because you changed something, and something else gets better,
doesn’t mean those two are related. This is the thing that makes it hard in
medicine alright. And you gotta wait, I talk
about how long you wait, what to do, things like that, and you just gotta sit tight. Now a lot of parents do a good job of
this, but some of you out there are impatient. I talk you on the
phone, I talk you in the office, at times you aren’t even hearing me. You’ve
got to check yourself. Because you push these, we have these little kids, say 3, on several thousand milligrams of fish oil. There is nothing to suggest that’s
safe. Alright? Or they’re on three or four tablespoons of olive oil, at three or
four years of age, there is nothing to suggest that’s safe. Alright? We just
don’t know and we have to be careful. So follow the rules in my book, don’t
exceed the maximums, and if things aren’t going well, you got to get some more help.
Maybe that’s a vagal stimulator, maybe that’s some other form of OT, or PT, or
ABA, or something like that to help you, but pushing the doses up beyond that, I
tell ya, are not gonna help! Alright? So do your best,
I’ve great sympathy for the stress and and the angst you must feel when your
child is not healthy, but that being said, you are responsible for protecting them.
Even if you have to protect them from yourself, and your own impatience alright?
Okay. So get back at it, hang in there, be patient, things are
gonna get better. Alright. This Dr. Nemechek, The Nemechek Protocol™, Buckeye Arizona. Have a great day!
